If you live in the Central Maryland-Baltimore-DC-’burbs area and would like to see some hula hoop performances, check out these two local stars:
Miss Joule has performed at The Palace of Wonders in DC, the Mayor’s Annual Christmas Parade in Hampden, among other local venues and at other fun events. But hooping is just one of the many circus-sideshow-vaudeville-type skills Miss Joule performs. She’s also a glass walker, stilt walker, fire spinner and more.
Strange Powers, the Go-Go Hooper, has performed locally at The Otto Bar, Virgin Fest, among other venues. Directly from her website: “Hooping Powers creates custom hoops for dancing, exercise, parties, decoration, classes, and performance. We also offer various hooping workshops and events in the Washington, DC area.”
Good layout herein …as well as good content. Kudos.
I also like the video you have posted. He is so slow and easy with that hoop, nothing forced or too fast.
Is there a large (as in over 300) hooping scene there?
Hope you are hooping,
Jaimie (Ms.B)
